Uniform Resource Locator Classification Using Classical Machine Learning & Deep Learning Techniques

In the Internet era, there is no doubt that has helped us in many ways by providing with a means to communicate anyone around world. That said, some people misuse such technology conduct malicious behaviors. Many things could be exploited perform acts, but this work focuses on exploitation methods use uniform resource locator (URL). This paper presents extract features from raw URL. These are used predict whether URL safe for user visit or not. The whole process of extracting data and preparing it model discussed thoroughly paper. Several machine learning (ML) models have been trained using different algorithms, including Catboost, RandomForest, Decision trees, addition exploring several feedforward deep neural networks models. best achieved an accuracy 95.61% test set model.
